One night I had a dream. I dreamt I met a girl named Yadiana. She told me about her country. She described an ancient building called the Parthenon. She said the Aegean Sea had the deepest blue waters. And she spoke of the green trees and the delicious olives that grow in the area. Yes, she was from Greece, the birthplace of the Olympics.

 

In the dream, I then told Yadiana about my homeland. I painted pictures using words to tell her about Beijing''s Forbidden City, the flowing waters of the Yangtze River, and of the friendly hard-working people in this great place, my homeland, China.

 

Soon, at a special place, during a special time, girls from Greece and China will have a chance to meet for real. Of course, it is the 2008 Beijing Olympics which may bring them together. For me, an average student in China, it would be a dream come true if I could help with all my heart those girls to meet and be friends!
